Instrument Petting Zoo
Member of Blair Bands and Orchestras will be on hand with their instruments so kids can see them, learn about them, and can try them out. We expect to have a full compliment of band and orchestra instruments, as well as pianos. This is something the National Symphony Orchestra does, but it costs way more and is all the way downtown!
Marching Band
The festival will also feature the MBHS Marching Band showcase and two fifteen minute performances at 10:15 and 11:30. Make sure you catch them!
Orff Instruments
Orff Group Drumming Lesson for kids 7 and up! Offered at 10:30 and 12:15.
Arts and Crafts
We will have several stations featuring coloring, word searches, origami, puzzles, crafts and instrument making.
Face Painting
The festival will feature face-painting, allowing your child to express their creativity in a fun and delightful manner! All materials are 100% safe and we will have trained volunteers on-hand for assistance.
Cupcake Walk
Don't miss the chance to win a cupcake! The game begins when the music starts; children walk around in a circle as the music is playing. When the music stops, the children stop. A volunteer will call out a carnival image and the child standing on the corresponding image wins a cupcake!
Raffle
The raffle will be called after each orchestra performance. Prizes include Peter and the Wolf storybooks, Blair T- shirts, Free music lessons, and a FREE week of summer camp at RoundHouse Theatre!
Concessions
We will have a concessions table with snacks, baked goods and drinks for sale. All proceeds go towards funding Blair Instrumental Music and help support events such as this one.
